End of a Digital Era?

These may be the last Nikon=D40 images posted here. We made a little get away trip to Pueblo, Colorado. And I thought I had captured some very interesting images. But no, the camera had malfunction. I tried to reset is but in the end only capture a few useable images. This wall art probably turned out best:

The girl appeared one her own last month as a #WednesdayWindow:

Santa Catalina Casino

First, let’s clarify the meaning of Casino. It really just means a gathering place, not a pace to gamble. ThenCasino At Santa Catalina Island is a music hall.

There are many interesting windows and doors. These are the two main entrances.

And the Ticket Window between the Main Doors.

And finally, the Back Door with a Tourist Guest:

Dear Blogger Friends, as you read this posting I will be returning from a Vision Evaluation at the Mayo Clinic. Long, long journey. You can catch on some of it Saturday when I post another ‘Through the Glass’ update.

Retrospective: Mission Santa Ines

And of course a Door because it is Thursday……The side entry photographed better than the Main Entrance.  You may have noticed that this is Infrared.Mission_Side_Door1Mission_Side_Door2

Mission Santa Ines is located next to Solvang, California.  It was founded in 1804. I was visiting a friend in Santa Barbara back in 2017 when I made this visit.  I decided to use my Nikon-1, which was converted to full spectrum by KolariVision.  I then used an IR filter to limit the exposure to Infrared.

Church was in session, so I wandered around outside and focussed my photography there.  Obviously a full house with people standing in the doorway.

Views around the Courtyard,  Above Left to Right: St Francis, Shrine to Santa Ines, Jesus.

Finally, below, the Cemetery:

I had the Nikon-1 converted after much frustration with IR-films.  I do use IR-Sensitive Films and you’ll see some film tests coming soon.

Retrospectives are repostings of significant works from my old Photo Diary……….

And, some thought from yesterday’s Photo Diary on Windows and Walls……

Our Doors Open Denver Tour was led by then Chief Justice of the State Supreme Court, Nancy Rice, who was involved in the design of the Building.  She was a Great Tour Guide because she loved the building!
